“The Unhappy Triad” is the triad of a sprain injury that
involves three structures of the knee. The two medials and one anterior. Medial
meniscus, medial collateral and anterior cruciate ligament are the structures being
involved. It’s one of the severe injury that can happen to an athletes mainly.
A good example being a footballer getting hit on the outside of the knee while
in the standing position with the foot planted on the ground. Surgery can help
to correct it. Physical therapy can help after the surgery.
